In 2007, I started the series with the print "Pick Your Poison." Global Capitalism has always been of interest or should I say a concern of mine. I have been an advocate of purchasing local foods for long. The same goes for such pretty things as flowers. In 2008, I expanded the theme to focus on pollinators, iconic heart prints and skeleton hands. MORE

I drew this rat skull in 2001, while living in Tucson, Arizona. A friend of mine had lent it to me after finding it in a dry river wash. I always wanted to turn it into a print - 9 years later, I got inspired. It's a somber and beatiful little still life of an anonymous 'friend' in the Sonoran Desert and dedicated to all the spirits who pass on by us - unnoticed!
