Murcielago Santo

The bat skeleton print is a softground etching on Magnani Pescia Paper; 12 x 12 inches; edition: #1 of 20. There is a blue and aqua version of this print available. The steel frame and candle altar is fabricated by bronze sculptor Vincent Villafranca and the glass candles are made by glass artist and sculptor David D'Orio. Each glass candle comes with a sand blasted bat icon. It's a one in a kind piece!

The World Horror Convention is an annual gathering of professionals in the horror industry; publishers, authors, artists, musicians, filmmakers, dealers and, of course, horror fans. WHC serves as both an industry insider's networking event and a chance for fans of the genre to get together, meet some of the creative talents in the field, and generally spend a weekend celebrating All Things Scary.

About The Artist

Nils Henrik Sundqvist was born in Sweden in 1970, raised bilingually in Germany and moved to the United States in 1996. Since coming to the U.S. He lived in Houston, TX, Tucson, AZ ,and now Arlington, VA. Along the way he picked up a MFA in graphic communications from the University of Engineering & Technology in Mannheim, Germany and a second MFA in painting from the University of Houston, Texas. In Mannheim, Germany, he was introduced to typesetting and print making by typographer Hagen Kayser and artist Hubert Gems. While in Texas, Mr. Sundqvist met one of his mentors Luis Jiménez and got exposed to Chicano art and Mexican/U.S. border culture. Today, his art mostly deals with social, political, and environmental issues and borrows freely symbols and customs from various cultures. Currently, Mr. Sundqvist is an affiliate of the print shop Discover Graphics at the Torpedo Factory Art Center and continues to exhibit his work nationally.
