I went to the Cincinnati Fine Art Museum and checked out two art exhibitions.

First, I wondered into a retrospective of Jirí Anderle 's work. 100 of his large scale prints , ranging from the 60's thru the 80's covered the museum walls. His work is dark, powerful, and draws from his mind and social-political subject matter. I am an admirer of his technical finesse and integration of visuals from the old masters with attention to masterful execution and incredible detail in the presentation.

Then, I only had an hour to dwell in the feature exhibit -- China Design Now. A collection of contemporary Chinese pop culture, focusing on architecture, multimedia, industrial, graphic, and fashion design. It was interesting to see how the Chinese artists and designers react to Western pop culture, mix in their own heritage and traditions, and work in their own twist. It's a traveling show and three cities -- Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen -- were used as art/design sources. It's worth checking out.
Lastly, a big shout-out to my artist colleague Jenny Freestone. I saw one of her prints in a great contemporary art gallery -- Manifest. The show looks great, Jenny! All featured art was of high quality.
