Drawings
My sketches and drawings are the conceptual ideas for my print work. There is nothing more beautiful than a simple line.

2008 was a busy year. I mainly focused on my etchings as you can see in my gallery. The print series "Flores Muertas" has kept me in its spell. Check out some of my highlighted art works below. The iconic heart print, the skeleton hand etching, and a screen print dealing with gun violence.
The print series Flores Muertas depicts the issue of where our flowers come from, what kind of hidden real costs and dangers lie behind them and questions global capitalism as a real danger to people and the environment.
Skeletons have long been a favorite of mine. I use them in my screen prints, etchings, and drawings.
If you like the Social Media universe, you can find bits and pieces of me on www.facebook.com/henrik.sundqvist or at www.twitter.com/NilsHenrik. I always look forward to a chatty conversation online.
The Kenmore Studio Between 2000 and 2006, I lived and worked in this beautiful studio. Thanks to Rebecca Henry for documenting this treasure. My drawings serve as studies and are used as an early stage for my prints. The drawings, etchings and silkscreen prints feature traditional subjects, such as portraits and societal or political issues. I cover themes such as racial profiling, oil politics, environmental hazards, consumer culture and gun laws.
I am also the president and founder of the regional contemporary art group Art Outlet.
Art Outlet's mission is to amplify the artist's voice, educate and engage the public in contemporary art.
